Breaking News!!! Godswill Akpabio Gives Order to Disrupt Traditional Marriage

On Thursday, December 8, 2011, plans have been completed for the traditional marriage of Lady Mercy at Ikot Ekpene. Lady Mercy is a sister to the wife of Senator John Akpan Udoedehe. Sources say Godswill Akpabio has vowed that the traditional marriage will never be conducted as planned and, according to a source, Akpabio’s stance on the matter has caused some consternation among the villagers, where the event had been billed to take place.
Sources say Akpabio has given order to Sunday Ibanga, who is known among the locale simply as SIBA, to disrupt the event. Sunday Ibanga, according to reliable sources, has assembled a group of young thugs in his shop, where he is coaching them on how to disrupt the traditional event of the poor lady.
It may be recalled that sometime in 2010, when the Senator's wife went to Ikot Ekpene to attend a campaign rally organized for her husband, the same Sunday Ibanga was the man who led the thugs that cut down the canopies erected for the event, forcing Mrs. Udoedehe to take cover and narrowly escape a possible assassination. Sources have also confirmed that the Election campaign mayhem, which began at Ikot Ekpene and spilled all the way to Uyo, was organized and led by the same Sunday Ibanga on the orders of Godswill Akpabio, Commissioners Don Etim and Emmanuel Enoidem.
Today, at Uyo, a group of women held a meeting and decided to attend the traditional rite at Ikot Ekpene in order to confront Sunday Ibanga and his thugs. Sources say the women have filed a complaint with the SSS, the Police, and other security agencies, alerting them to the possible danger in Ikot Ekpene. It is not clear if any of the agencies is ready to provide security to cover the entire event on Thursday.
Developing story on this matter will be posted, as soon as it is made available.
