Gov. Akpabio And The Murder Of Ekpenyong Brothers

On June 20, 2009 the people of Ewet-Ofot, Uyo were thrown into mourning by a double-murder to two brothers Engr. Emmanuel Okon Ekpenyong and Mathias Okon Ekpenyong when kidnap attempt on Engr. Ekpenyong went wrong. Following that, the people of Ewet and other nearly Ofot villages went on demonstration pall-bearing a symbolic coffin to deposit it at the governor's office, a swift action of security men disperse the angry crowd. It was to inform Gov. Godswill Akpabio his finger prints were written all over the double murder. Akpabio's motivation for their claim? Read on.

THE STATE VS. DAVID EYO UBOH, JOSEPH ITA EKONG, ITORO WILLIAM
In a miscarriage of justice, Gov. Akpabio swapped three innocent young men for the real killers of the two brothers who have since been released from detention without being tried for their crimes. Through his press Secretary Usoro I. Usoro who circulated false statements to the press all over the country claiming the three young men had made confessions to the crime they did not commit. When the press release was published on this forum last February, the duo of Felix Edoho and Sonny Abia could not help themselves but to jump to conclusion. I have the case file in my possession and have made a good effort to process the statement of the state primary eye witness in this case Mr. Bassey Okon Bassey to the police. At the center of this case is Bassey O. Bassey, he saw them when they came into the sand quarry beach called "Boro Pit" and he was also responsible for spotting them while traveling to Calabar and drew police attention at a check point in
Calabar where the suspects were apprehended, identified in a line up and the get away vehicle. Today, they are not the ones standing trial in the double murder because someone from above is interested in seeing others take the hit for their crimes.

As justice would have it, the state suffered its mayor set back in court today as their main prosecution witness told the court the three young men standing trial had nothing to do with the case. The state had pressured him and Fabian Ekpenyong to testify falsely against the accused and Fabian is on record in many interviews making this claim. In a line up in court of the three young men, a picture of one of the real suspects, the driver was also presented in the line-up. Bassey O. Bassey told the court even in his dream the face of the driver of the Audio 80 still torments him and just as he identified him in person in Calabar Zone 6 police station he had no problem pointing to his photograph today in court.

Judge Philomena Etim is the fourth judge to try these innocent victims with no shred of evidence against the innocent young men and had warned the state DPP Eme Ukpong she'd dismiss the case if the state was not ready for trial. At another time the state Attorney General Ntekim who noted the state had no evidence (it was thrown out at one time) whatsoever against these young men called Eme Ukpong to his office to figure out why they were being tried, she told AG the order to try them was/ is from above meaning Godswill Akpabio directed her to try and convict them with no evidence. All the three youths were aides to Dr. Chris Ekong who is standing trial also against the state.

AKPABIO'S MOTIVATION TO KILL THE BROTHERS
Gov. Akpabio is said to have been interested in acquiring the sand quarry beach or Boro Pit as is popularly called and known in Uyo from the Ekpenyong family and had approached them about it and Engr. Ekpenyong declined. If you recall a few months ago Thompson Essien had accused Prince Ikim in this forum of being present about an hour before and after the murders took place without disputing it. Prince Ikim, on the orders of his boss, master-minded the kidnapping of Engr. Emmanuel Ekpenyong to put the ransom at an exorbitant amount the family would not be able to cough-up. Bingo, Gov. Akpabio would then provide the money clandestinely to settle the ransom and there you have it. This is why Gov. Akpabio had the real suspects released from jail because they were doing his dirty job for him.

Below is the processed statement of the state main witness. I have attached his hand-written statements plus back of case file, if time permits I'd also process and present to the forum statements from other witnesses listed on the file. Injustice against anyone of us is injustice for all of us.

I now after observation, the behaviour of the occupant of the vehicle I alerted my Oga Mr. Emmanuel Ekpeyong that I do not know the occupant of the vehicle. that is going round the beach. that, their faces look suspecious and terrible. It was there that Mr. Emmanuel Okon Ekpenyong send his junior brother named Mathias Okon Ekpenyong to go and observe the vehicle and its occupants. Mathias went out do as directed. The occupant of the Audi 80 car there were going up later turned back coming towards the office, they packed the vehicle in front of the office, Immediately (end of page,
